Long recovery from mass extinction seen

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., member of the Senate International Security, Proliferation and Federal Services Subcommittee, said Sunday genetic testing on anthrax spores sent through the mail is underway at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Sandia National Laboratory in Livermore, Calif. "They will be testing to see whether or not the strain of anthrax has been modified genetically," Domenici said on NBC's "McLaughlin One on One."
