Walkers no help in Parkinson's disease

CHICAGO, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Parkinson's disease patients who suffer

freezing -- they will themselves to move but their feet do not respond -- do not get much help from even sophisticated models of walkers, researchers said Tuesday at the annual meeting of the American Neurological Association. Doctors said medications can help with symptoms of the disorder but there is no way to cure it.
