U.S. Markets Up Despite Unemployment Numbers

Investors shrugged off new signs of the country's economic woes today and sent stocks surging on anticipation of the Senate's vote on an economic stimulus package and details of the financial rescue plan the Obama administration is scheduled to release next week.
