Tolkien estate, New Line settle lawsuit

LOS ANGELES -- The heirs of J.R.R. Tolkien and a movie studio that produced the blockbuster "Lord of the Rings" trilogy have settled a lawsuit over the film's profits.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- The Tolkien Trust, New Line Cinema and HarperCollins said Tuesday they have settled a U.S. lawsuit pertaining to "The Lord of the Rings" films.
