Thaddeus Young's driving layup with 2 seconds left lifted Philadelphia to a 96-94 victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday night, giving the 76ers a surprising 2-1 lead in their Eastern Conference first-round series.

PHILADELPHIA, April 24 (UPI) -- A layup by Thaddeus Young with 2.2 seconds remaining Friday gave the Philadelphia 76ers a 96-94 win over Orlando and a one-game lead in their playoff series.

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu both scored 20 points Thursday and the Orlando Magic held off a Philadelphia comeback attempt to down the 76ers 98-88.
