Senate, Despite Doubts, To OK Cash For Clunkers

The Senate does not like endorsing bills that have been sent over fait accompli from the House, such as the $2 billion extension of the popular cash-for-clunkers offer. But up against the getaway deadline for the August recess, the Senate will give in.
