Santana throws but likely won't suit up for WBC

Johan Santana threw off a mound on Tuesday but plans to decline an invitation to pitch for Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic at the request of the Mets, who want their pitching ace to be careful with his recovery from knee surgery.
