ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Chad Gaudin allowed one hit over eight scoreless innings and Scott Hairston snapped an 0-for-17 slide with a homer for San Diego as the Padres won their first series in a month with a 2-0 victory Sunday night over the stumbling Texas Rangers.
