Ohio performs single-drug execution

An Ohio inmate, convicted of killing and dismembering a 22-year-old woman in 1991, was executed Tuesday using a new, untested one-drug method of lethal injection, state officials said.

LUCASVILLE, Ohio, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Ohio prison authorities say they will use a new method of lethal injection on a convicted killer next week, becoming the first in the nation to do so.
