Mystery disease in S.Africa may be Congo fever

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - A mystery disease that has killed three people in South Africa and put medical authorities on high alert may be Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, a health official said on Tuesday.

GENEVA, Switzerland, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A U.N. agency said Friday it was examining nearly 150 people who had contact with three people killed by a mysterious illness in Johannesburg, South Africa.
