Mitch Mitchell dies at 61; drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience

Mitch Mitchell, the drummer for the legendary Jimi Hendrix Experience of the 1960s, has been found dead in his Oregon hotel room. He was 61.

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Officials say Mitch Mitchell, the drummer for the iconic Jimi Hendrix Experience, was found dead in his Portland, Ore., hotel room Wednesday.

SEATTLE, March 7 (UPI) -- The family of the late Jimi Hendrix filed a federal lawsuit against a Seattle man, saying the use of Hendrix's name for a vodka promotion is a "sick joke."
