The Tampa Bay Rays are closing in on a deal for Kelly Shoppach of the Cleveland Indians.

CLEVELAND, May 26 (UPI) -- Carl Pavano limited Tampa Bay to one run on four hits in seven innings Tuesday in the Cleveland Indians' 5-1 win over the Rays.
