Kansas City Royals placed All-Star closer Joakim Soria on the 15-day disabled list

All-Star closer Joakim Soria has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder injury, and the Kansas City Royals have recalled right-hander Luke Hochevar from Triple-A Omaha.
