Ida may bring heavy rain to U.S.

Hurricane Ida is blowing toward the U.S. with 80 mph winds. Ida is expected to weaken, but keep its hurricane status as it nears the Gulf Coast tonight or Tuesday.

MIAMI, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Hurricane Ida, a late-season storm that raked Central America, headed into the Gulf of Mexico and toward the U.S. mainland.
