FDA warns Zicam may harm sense of smell

The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday warned consumers to stop using certain Zicam nasal cold remedy products, saying they can cause users to lose their sense of smell permanently.

WASHINGTON, June 16 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is urging people to stop using three Zicam-brand products marketed as cold remedies because of a health hazard.
