E.U. and Microsoft Settle Antitrust Case Over Web Browsers

European regulators dropped their antitrust case against Microsoft on Wednesday after the company agreed to offer customers a choice of rival Web browsers. The settlement ends what could have been a costly legal battle for the software giant.
