Colorado Rockies catcher Yorvit Torrealba's son, brother-in-law safe after kidnapping

The Rockies say catcher Yorvit Torrealba's 11-year-old son and his brother-in-law have been released after they were kidnapped in Venezuela, Torrealba's home country.

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) -- Colorado Rockies outfielder Matt Holliday, who had a league-high four home runs last week, Monday was named the National League player of the week. Holliday's four home runs allowed him to pile up 10 runs batted in and nine runs scored.
