A second victim is believed to be Henry Sanchez's girlfriend, Penny Avila. Officials suspect that their vessel, on its way to Catalina Island from Long Beach, collided with a barge in the dark. What happened that clear, moonless night in the Catalina Channel is still very much a mystery.
