BAGHDAD, Oct. 9 -- A senior lawmaker loyal to anti-American Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr was killed Thursday morning in a roadside bombing in Baghdad, raising concerns about the potential for violence ahead of provincial elections expected early next year.
