OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Mark Ellis hit a two-run homer in his second game back from a two-month injury absence, and Ryan Sweeney homered and drove in two runs in the Oakland Athletics' 7-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Monday night.

OAKLAND, Calif., June 30 (UPI) -- Ryan Sweeney had three hits, including a solo homer, and drove in two runs Monday when the Oakland Athletics beat Detroit 7-1 to end a five-game losing streak.
