Alessandro Petacchi of Italy won his second straight stage in the Giro d'Italia on Monday and took the overall lead from Mark Cavendish of Britain.

ROME, May 6 (UPI) -- A sports court Tuesday gave Italian cyclist Alessandro Petacchi a 1-year suspension for using a banned stimulant during last year's Giro d' Italia race.
