IRVINGTON, N.J., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Commuters in Irvington, N.J. on Monday afternoon got to witness quite a show.

Riders on a New Jersey Transit bus on Springfield Avenue were lucky enough to see a naked man urinate, bang on passing cars and then attempt to board the bus.

The nude man’s broad daylight boarding attempt proved unsuccessful, but not for lack of trying.

"He even tried to take over the bus from the driver," a store clerk told WABC. "He even stuck his naked butt in the driver's face and that was ridiculous."

The man reportedly struck the bus driver several times while trying to get on the bus, but he refused to fight back. "He conducted himself pretty well," said another store clerk. The driver was not injured during the incident and was able to continue with the route.

The unidentified man was subdued and taken away on a stretcher by police officers.

"This was an unruly customer, and he was removed by the police," Nancy Snyder, a spokeswoman for NJ Transit, told Gothamist.
