Where's the beef? Ohio woman allegedly assaults supermarket worker with steaks

BRUNSWICK, Ohio, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman apparently had beef with a comment that a supermarket employee made -- so she slung specially-sliced steaks at her.

Frances Slyman was charged with misdemeanor assault after she allegedly attacked a Giant Eagle worker with a pair of “special cut filets.”

Slyman, 44, reportedly went to the deli counter and requested that her steaks be cut small because she was on a diet. After she was given her special cuts, Slyman took the plastic wrap off the meat and threw the steaks at the deli counter worker because she thought she called her “fat.”

The steaks hit the employee in the eye and shoulder, but she didn’t require treatment.

According to Brunswick Police, Slyman’s husband heard the worker make a negative remark about his weight.

The employee maintained that she was simply talking with another worker about how “everyone is on a diet these days.” A witness who was in line at the deli corroborated the employee’s story.
