TCU only provides one-ply toilet paper in its dorms, classroom and office buildings, but that plan could get flushed down the toilet very quickly. Advertisement “This is a big thing,” said student body president Cody Westphal. “You know, TCU has this reputation for the highest quality everything -- whether it is education, technology, teachers, students -- whatever. I think the next obvious step would be to take the step of quality toilet paper!” The student government association is hoping to make the dream of two-ply tissue for all a reality and recently passed a resolution asking administrators for a change on campus. You’ve got to think what’s more comfortable for the person using it.” The purchasing agent for the university, Roger Fuller, said TCU spends around $100,000 per year on toilet paper. “We are always looking to improve the quality of the products provided to the campus community,” Fuller said. “But it should be noted that the paper goods in use at the university were selected based on quality, budget considerations, types of dispensers, building capacity and staffing available for stocking.” Advertisement TCU students protest about the toilet paper? I don’t appreciate the way that the toilet paper feels for $50,000 a year,” said senior criminal justice major Cory Wegner. “I feel like we can afford better. We all use it, faculty and students.
