Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Following the Broncos 27-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night Football, there were multiple stabbings in the parking lot at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.

At least three people were stabbed and one person is in critical condition after there were a number of fights following the game. The Denver Police Department has three suspects in custody.

"It was obviously a very chaotic scene and investigators have their work cut out for them," said Denver Police spokesperson Steve Warneke.

The victims were transported to area hospitals. "They are conscious and talking," Warneke said.

Police are still in the process of figuring out exactly what happened. "There were witnesses and we've transported them to police facilities to be interviewed," Warneke said.

Stadium officials released a statement late Thursday:

"Stadium Management Company is aware of an incident that occurred in a parking lot adjacent to Sports Authority Field at Mile High. We are currently working with authorities to gather more information."

A few weeks ago, a man died after an altercation in Kansas City when the Broncos beat the Chiefs.
