Richmond County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Counts cornered 28-year-old Lloyd and told him to get on the ground. Lloyd then allegedly ran “in a threatening manner” toward Deputy Austin Shepherd who hit him with a baton.
After he was handcuffed, deputies found a purple Crown Royal bag containing cocaine and marijuana that Lloyd had dropped.
Last week, Lloyd was able to escape from police on foot after he was stopped in his 1993 Ford Explorer and told he was under arrest for driving under the influence. Police reportedly found cocaine and marijuana in the car as they prepared it for towing.
Lloyd was additionally charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane for the previous incident.
