University of Pittsburgh student Jonathan Hewson thought it would be a good idea to wear a Spider-Man costume while holding up a convenience store.

Hewson, 21, demanded money from Bob Patel at Atwood Express just after 1 a.m. Friday.

According to the police report, Hewson yelled "How much money you got?" but fled empty-handed when Patel produced a taser.

The clerk called the cops, who broadcast an easy description over the radio.

Police spotted Spider-Man running about a block away and picked Hewson up on attempted robbery charges.
