Footage taken from the back of a soaring eagle has gone viral.

The video, posted by YouTube user Srachi on Monday, has a GoPro camera attached to the bird as it flies over the Mer de Glace area of Chamonix, France, according to the video's description.

Mer de Glace, or Sea of Ice, is one of the longest glaciers in the Alps and extends for 3.5 miles.

The author of the video remains unknown, but the views captured are nonetheless spectacular. Watch the video below.
