A 21-year-old man was arrested yesterday after he tripped on his own sagging pants during a getaway attempt.

Joel Donaldson was running from police after allegedly punching a woman in the face and stealing her cell phone, when his droopy jeans started to slip down.

The incident took place at around 2:30 p.m. at Court and Remsen streets in Brooklyn. Donaldson had run just a block from the crime scene when a police officer saw him struggling and followed him.

“He was zigzagging all over the place, but he couldn’t run because his pants was falling down,” witness Arlene Williams said. “This cop saw it, and he went right after him.’’

Donaldson was eventually arrested two blocks from Brooklyn Criminal Court and charged with robbery.
