Atlanta Braves bat boy rescues actual bat [VIDEO]

By CAROLINE LEE, UPI.com   |   Aug. 15, 2013 at 5:03 PM   |   Comments

Aug. 15 (UPI) -- At Turner Field, a bat made its way into the stadium and onto the field. Not the usual baseball-hitting kind, though -- a living, breathing bat flapping on the field.

Third baseman Paul Janish briefly scooped it into its glove before it was rescued in a towel by, you guessed it, a bat boy.

Too easy. Even better that the rescuer was wearing his jersey with a big "BAT BOY" emblazoned on the back.
