“Kill Kathie Kill Kathie Kill Kathie!!!!!” was written on a list of household chores in a computer file recovered by police. It proves premeditation, according to the suit, which was filed July 18.
The sisters have not commented on the lawsuit, and their lawyer Anthony Patti says they do not plan to.
“This was a devastating, horrible event,” Patti said. “I’d rather let the lawsuit speak for itself.”
Trias' estate is worth more than $1 million, so Patti filed a temporary restraining order to freeze his assets for the pending trial.
Trias admitted to stabbing Porter, his wife of 17 years, multiple times with two knives -- both of which were still in Porter when officers responded to the home the next day.
Porter had numerous cuts and bite marks. The death certificate cites "multiple stabbing wounds" as the cause of death, court records indicate. Trias left only with fingernail scratches on his face.
