ASL interpreter upstages Wu-Tang Clan at Bonnaroo [VIDEO]

June 20 (UPI) -- The Wu-Tang Clan hit Bonnaroo last week, and an American Sign Language interpreter identified only as Holly is amassing fans online for her spirited rap skills.

The last ASL interpreter to upstage their speaker was Lydia Callis, who became an internet sensation dubbed "Hurricane Crush" while interpreting for Mayor Bloomberg during Hurricane Sandy. Callis was so popular that SNL parodied her captivating performances.

At Bonnaroo, Holly matched RZA, Method Man, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Solange, Schoolboy Q and Chad Hugo of the Neptunes, word for word in the front row, and some fans think she put on the better show.

According to Stereogum, Holly "didn't just sign every word, but put back into it."

She was also assigned to interpret for indie-pop duo Matt & Kim, who brought her onstage to teach the crowd how to sign the word "Bonnaroo" and various terms for the female anatomy.

One fan captured a Vine video of her getting into her interpretation of R. Kelly.
