Driver blasted for walking horse next to car on busy road

Feb. 23 (UPI) -- A driver in Britain is facing strong criticism online after being filmed holding the reins of a horse trotting alongside their car.

The video, captured on the A43 highway in Northamptonshire, England, by Martyn Ben Hanley and posted to YouTube by IdiotUKDriversExposed, shows the horse trotting alongside the car on the busy road while cars traveling the opposite direction pass closely.

Commenters branded the driver's behavior as cruelty to animals.

"Unbelievable! Guy casually taking his horse for a walk In Northamptonshire, as you do. Poor animal. Back seat passenger footage," the video's description reads.
