Nurse shark wrestles with diver to steal bagged fish

Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A diver off the coast of Belize was caught on camera wrestling with a nurse shark that had eyes for the grouper the man had in a mesh bag.

The video, filmed during an Oct. 25 diving trip off the coast of San Pedro, shows the driver struggling to get the nurse shark to release its grip on the mesh bag containing his catch.

The filmer can be heard laughing in the background as the man loses the struggle -- and his fish.

''We were diving and one of my fellow divers speared a nice grouper that we were going to have for lunch,'' the filmer wrote. ''A resident nurse shark had other ideas and stole the grouper from the mesh catch bag, wrestling my friend and completely tearing the mesh bag and taking off with our lunch."
