Kangaroo dodges traffic on busy 10-lane road

Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A South Australia construction worker captured video of a kangaroo that hopped out onto a busy 10-lane road and weaved its way between vehicles.

Mark Rogers, 46, a glazier, said he was working on a construction site in Adelaide about noon Monday when he spotted the kangaroo making its way through traffic on the busy urban road.

"He hopped on down North Terrace first, and then along down Dequetteville Terrace," Rogers told 9news.com.au. "I'm working on the apartments on the corner there, and saw him."

"Not everybody would've videoed something like that, but for me, you don't always see a kangaroo hopping down the street," he said.

A construction worker who goes by the name Bear also witnessed the roo's traffic-dodging escapades. He told 7 News the kangaroo made sure to look both ways before crossing and made its way down the road "like a local."

Kangaroos aren't known to live in the area, and a local zoo said all of its marsupials were accounted for.
