Slithering snake shocks shoppers in mall parking garage

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- A shocked visitor to an Australian mall captured video of a large snake slithering around inside the parking garage.

Mishka Minacova posted a video to Facebook showing the large python brazenly wandering around inside the Marketown Shopping Center parking garage in Newcastle, New South Wales.

"'There are no snakes in the city,' they said. #snakeinthecarpark #snakeintheshoppingmall #onlyinaustralia," Minacova wrote.

Minacova said she and her boyfriend alerted security and kept traffic away from the snake as it slithered through the garage.

Witness Evan Regan said the diamond python was caught safely and relocated to a more appropriate habitat.
