Florida police appeal to owner of abandoned pot-filled briefcase

Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Police in Florida are asking the owner of an abandoned briefcase to come forward and claim their 10.75 pounds of misplaced marijuana.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday that Officers Jon Cusack and Peterson Jacques responded to The Arium Resort community, where maintenance staff reported an abandoned briefcase in the parking lot.

Police determined the briefcase was not dangerous, but instead contained 10.75 pounds of pot.

"If this briefcase or its contents belong to you we'd LOVE to hear all about it -- please call us," police wrote.
