Sept. 26 (UPI) -- A Texas doughnut shop employed the help of a scary clown to make deliveries for customers looking to creep out their friends or loved ones.

The Frisco-based Hurts Donut shop shared photos of the menacing clown, reminiscent of Pennywise from Stephen King's It, who would be delivering doughnuts for two days of early Halloween mischief.

"Scary Clown Deliveries available next Monday and Tuesday in Frisco!" the shop advertised on Facebook. "Who did something rotten to you that totally deserves this?"

The shop also shared video of the terrifying clown letting out a menacing laugh while seated in the front seat of a sprinkles-covered delivery van.

"He's out there guys! Delivering donuts all day!" the shop said. "Who is hiding in their closet right now?"

Hurts Donut co-owner Kas Clegg told Guide Live the recent popularity of creepy clowns helped inspire the idea.

"We always try to keep up with the trends, and clowns are trending right now," she said. "It's fall, and it's getting close to Halloween, so we just wanted to spice it up a little bit and do a super fun delivery."

The initial run of deliveries were limited to local customers but the Frisco shop said it might be willing to expand the service in the future.

"If we have enough interest in surrounding communities, let us know in the comments below, we may pick a day for out of town clown deliveries as well!" the shop said.
