Colin Mullis captured video of his encounter with the marsupial, a smaller cousin of the kangaroo, in South Petherwin. Advertisement The wallaby is believed to be the same animal previously reported in Launceston, Lerryn and Lostwithiel after first being sighted on the loose in May. The RSPCA has repeatedly attempted to capture the wallaby, without success. The origins of the wallaby are unclear, with no wildlife centers coming forward to claim the animal. "No one seems to know where it has come from. There aren't many wildlife centers near here so it could have come from as far as Devon," Jackie Carless, secretary of Lerryn CE Primary School, where the wallaby was previously sighted, told Cornwall Live. The RSPCA is asking anyone with information about where the wallaby came from to contact investigators.
