New Hampshire driver stacks massive pile of belongings on top of car

June 29 (UPI) -- Police in New Hampshire pulled over a driver who had stacked their belongings into a massive pile on the roof of their car.

New Hampshire State Police shared a photo of a trooper stopping the white, four-door vehicle with a stack of belongings strapped to the top, measuring several feet high.

"Trooper Iannone of Troop G prevents a potential accident from occurring this morning," police said.

The massive pile on top of the car included a wood cabinet, several blankets and a bicycle. The interior of the vehicle was also stuffed with various items, and a white cart was hung from the back of the car.

Police explained driving with items strapped to the outside of a vehicle can be dangerous for other drivers.

These objects can obstruct your view or even worse become unsecure and cause an accident," police said. "Please keep our roadways safe!"

The driver, a a 57-year-old man, was stopped while driving a long a local interstate and was charged for negligent driving and driving an uninspected vehicle.

Police also towed the man's vehicle away from the scene.
