June 29 (UPI) -- Conservation officers in Alabama were filmed removing an alligator from a campground after officials said it became a nuisance.

A video posted to Facebook by Gulf State Park shows Landon Coker and his fellow conservation officers capturing an alligator that was branded a nuisance after campers led the animal to remain in the area by feeding it.

"We caught this 8 1/2 ft bad boy today," Coker wrote Wednesday.

"This gator was not harmed in any way. We removed this gator for the safety of guests and visitors inside of Gulf State Parks Campground. This gator was becoming a nuisance due to the amount of people feeding him. Once you feed a gator they either have to be relocated or dispatched. We relocated this gator to an area where he will have a very slim chance of making contact with humans. Awesome experience!"
