June 23 (UPI) -- Zola, a gorilla at the Dallas Zoo, dances in a behind-the-scenes video and it's garnered significant attention online.

In the original video posted Tuesday to the Dallas Zoo's YouTube page, Zola repeatedly spins and skips around a small pool, thrashing up water with its arms.

If that wasn't enough, Bob Hagh, a video producer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, made a brief remix video, overlaying Michael Sembello's "Maniac," a song known for appearing in the 1983 film "Flashdance."

In the video it uploaded, the Dallas Zoo wrote that dancing in the pool is a form of "enrichment" for Zola and that the movement "helps enhance the environment and lives of animals, like Zola, by providing them with mental and physical stimulation to increase natural behaviors."

Zoos have known about Zola's knack for dancing for at least a few years. In 2011, the Calgary Zoo uploaded a video of Zola appearing to dance in a puddle of water.

The Calgary Zoo added music to that video, and wrote that Zola "loves to play in water."
