Stray dog steals GoPro camera, films bike race

May 31 (UPI) -- A stray dog ran off with a photographer's GoPro in a Russian city and ended up capturing footage of a bike race.

The video, which includes footage filmed by witnesses as well as the video recorded by the GoPro camera, shows the photographer drop his action camera while petting the stray dog on the sidelines of the Mass Bike Ride event Sunday in Saratov.

The dog runs off with the camera and captures low-angle footage of the cyclists for several minutes before dropping the GoPro.

The camera was retrieved by a cyclist and eventually returned to its owner.
