The sheriff's office said a deputy passing by the ramp about 3 p.m. spotted what appeared to be an injured kitten on the road. The feline resisted attempts to remove it from the 16-inch drain, leading crews to attempt to flush the kitten out with water. A sheriff's office Fire Rescue team responded and used a larger amount of water, which was successful in flushing the kitten to the other end of the drain. The soggy kitten was placed safely in a cage about 5:30 p.m. Advertisement Read More New Jersey police officer hoists baby deer from storm drain Ducklings rescued from storm drain at Indiana middle school Sacramento fire crews rescue dog that fell 15 feet down storm drain Tennessee deputy climbs down storm drain to save stranded kitten
