May 31 (UPI) -- A visitor to a Florida beach captured footage of a man dragging a shark back out into the water after it apparently beached itself.
Rebecca Lewtan of Jacksonville said she was visiting Atlantic Beach with her children on Memorial Day when they spotted the shark stranded on the sand.
Lewtan's Facebook video shows a man grab the shark by the tail and drag it back out to deeper waters.
It was unclear whether the shark was sick or injured, but lifeguards said a similarly-sized shark was seen swimming in the area the following day.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the type of shark in the video is unclear, but it may have been a blacktip shark, which are common in the area.
