Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe May 30 (UPI) -- A Florida sheriff's deputy filmed state wildlife officials capturing a big alligator found beating the Memorial Day heat in a family's pool. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office posted a video to Facebook showing Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers wrangling an alligator found swimming at the bottom of a Venice family's pool inside their screened-in porch. Advertisement The video, filmed by Deputy Lori Clark, shows the alligator thrashing around as trappers use a lasso to pull it out of the pool. "Because no two days on patrol are ever the same..." the sheriff's office wrote of the "only in Florida" incident. The post said the video should serve as a reminder to always "look before you leap."
