At 8 a.m. the road was shut down as empty crates and jugs were strewn about the roadside alongside the massive puddle of milk.
Traffic was halted in both directions for two hours as the Bergenfield Fire Department arrived to help clear the roadway.
A street sweeper arrived to clean up the milk spill and a cleaning crew prepared the truck's trailer to continue it's trip.
The driver was not ticketed for the spill and the road was eventually reopened.
