Andrew Fahrner posted a video to Facebook showing police attempting to block the steer in the parking lot of the Waffle House on Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville earlier this month. Advertisement Police appeared to be trying to prevent the steer from leaving the parking lot and running amok on the city's roads. The steer ventures out into the road, but police cars are successful in herding it back to the parking lot. "I mean, honestly, who's gonna believe this?" Fahrner says in the video. "Only in Cookeville." The steer eventually exits the area by losing his police pursuers in the parking lot of a gas station across the street and fleeing through an adjacent business' parking area before running down the street. The origins and ultimate fate of the steer were unclear, but a commenter on Fahrner's Facebook post said she had been at the Triple W Livestock Auction's Exotic Sale earlier in Cookeville the same day and witnessed a steer escaping.
