May 11 (UPI) -- Officials at a Montana high school ushered a mother duck and her ducklings through the hallways of the school to reach a creek in front of the building.
The video, posted to YouTube by ViralHog, shows the mother leading her family of ducklings Monday through the halls of Bozeman High School under the guidance of some teachers.
The filmer said the mother lays her eggs in the courtyard behind the school each year, then parades the ducklings through the building in the spring to reach the creek on the other side.
"Each year a mother duck lays her eggs in the Bozeman High School courtyard. When the eggs hatch, she knocks on the door with her bill until the door is opened and she leads her ducklings to the Mandeville Creek in front of the school," the filmer wrote. "I have a 2014 video of the same thing but the quality isn't as good."
The ducks aren't the only animals to grace the hallowed halls of Bozeman High -- authorities were called to the school in October 2015 to remove a black bear that wandered into the building before the start of classes on a school day.
