April 28 (UPI) -- A New Orleans Law & Order: Special Victims Unit super-fan is reveling in the viral fame brought by his unusual lower back tattoo.

Bernard Johnson, 29, said he was talking over the possibility of an SVU tribute with his tattoo artist a few months ago when they arrived at an idea: "Executive Producer Dick Wolf," the iconic first card of the end credits.

"l started when I was with my tattoo artist," Johnson told WGNO-TV. "We were talking about Law & Order and one thing lead to another. I took a screen shot of the TV screen, enlarged it, inverted it, and then got it put on my lower back. I wasn't drunk either. I did with a sound, sober mind and a lot of people ask me if I was drunk."

Johnson's tattoo quickly spread through social media, coming to the attention of the show's official Twitter account, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Johnson's favorite actor on the show, Mariska Hargitay.

"Mariska Hargitay, my favorite on the show, tweeted me, and I almost died. I couldn't believe she actually tweeted me back," he said.

Johnson said he is planning to expand on his Law & Order tribute with a portrait of Hargitay.

"That's my next thing. My next piece that I'm working on right now -- I'm gonna get a portrait of her on my back, above it," he told Jezebel.
